The hotel nestles in the tranquil Constantia Valley, against the slopes of the Steenberg Mountain, offering sweeping views over False Bay. The hotel buildings, dating back to 1682, were painstakingly restored and have been declared a National Monument. The estate boasts it’s own world renowned, working winery, which produces a selection of award winning fine wines. Guided tours and wine tasting are available on request. For the keen golfer, an 18 hole, championship golf course also forms part of this prestigious estate. The original winery dating back to the 1700's provides the setting for Catharina's Restaurant at Steenberg. European style décor incorporates all the historical architectural features of the old winery.

This boutique hotel is a haven of serenity with a choice of 30 elegant, air-conditioned rooms located in the original Manor House, Jonker’s Huis, Barn, Swaaneweide and Spurwing Houses. Spacious room with en-suite bathroom and with private lounge, air conditioned. Opens onto the Golf course.

CHILDREN
Children under 12 years of age by prior arrangement.
A maximum of one (1) child under 3 years sharing in a Superior room (cot).
A maximum of two (2) children under the age of 12 years sharing with their parents in the Family Suite – Room 14 (pull-out double couch/mattress/cot) in the separate lounge area, which has a second bathroom for the children.
A maximum of two (2) children under the age of 12 years sharing with their parents in the Family Suite – Room 25 (which has 2 bedrooms with one bathroom en suite to the Main bedroom).
Children over the age of twelve (12) years will require a separate room.

ARRIVAL / DEPARTURE
Rooms may be occupied from 14h00 on day of arrival.
Rooms must be vacated by 11h00 on day of departure for the convenience of arriving guests.

TRANSFERS
Transfers to/from the airport can be arranged at an additional charge through an accredited touring / car rental agency.

CONFERENCES
Conference facilities and packages are available on request.

GOLF BOOKING
Tee - off times may be booked on confirmation of Hotel reservation.
Golfers with proof of Club Affiliation and a minimum 24/36 handicap may book T-off times in advance, with the exception of Saturdays, which may only be booked one day prior to the date of play.

WINE TASTING
A visit to Steenberg Winery may be booked at reception during your stay.
Wine tastings are free of charge for hotel guests.
Wines can be exported.
